Pre departure meet - the ridge 5/6
Very successful results for all concerned- all on the plane - good work. Outstanding performances all looks good for 5 weeks away for our sprinters.
Hough on the plane to Singapore with world leading time for hurdles albeit wind assisted, this kid is only 16. wow!

We could come back with some very good results.

A big watch on athletes such as Anneliese Rubie in the 400m, Jake Hammond in the 200m and I really think Baines can come away with a medal (and maybe a gold) in the 110m hurdles.

In the field Wruck will throw 63m and win a medal, while Kim Mulhall should also place well. Hoping Stratton can close in her PB of 6.30m - which should see her be in the top-8 for the long jump.

Good luck to all competing!!

Check out the photo finish from heat two.

Todd sure did have a good dip at making the final. Great run by Brett in the heat (must be his second quickest time ever).

Congrats to the team - well done. On paper quite a young team, so if they can hold off injury we may have some very strong results in the next few years in youth and junior competitions.

Sprint relays did well, pity about the injury for the boys team who looked certain to make the final, having got the baton around cleanly when injury struck the final runner.
And if the girls can run a mid 45 without any of the team really having a major focus on the 100, then what could the seniors do in a big competition? C'mon AA give the senior girls a shot at Comm Games, but let them know now, because there wouldn't be many in training except for Breen, McLellan and maybe a few other hopefuls and you need 4 others to have a full team with back up.
