Heard a bit about it.

Need to be careful if too much is ingested or a toilet may need to be handy...

Have read it can delay lactic build up in muscles, but have experimented on myself a little with it and didn't see any improvement in 800 times.

Did see an improvement in my ability to drink soapy foul tasting drinks lol :lol:

(1 gram per kg of body weight in a litre of water at least an hour before a race is the go)

Taste like eating a bar of soap would :cry:

Try reading the book, "Foods of the Gods". Has got a section in it on bi-carb soda and the delay of lactic-acid.

Beta-Alanine is purportedly the "new" bi-carb soda and a hell of a lot easier on the stomach.

Tried it - can't say if it works or not. I think though it is like creatine in that you must "load" and may not have the quicker effect of bi-carb, but is a gradual build up over a few weeks.
