Havent seen any results from any of the top athletes.

I ran a 200m mid december.

21.16 with a 3.7. awesome first 100, had 5m on them then somehow only won my 0.04. Thought the 400m training would help me come home but i guess i need to do more 100% speed work.

Last friday had a bit of a hammy twinge training so trying to get that sorted. Not a good time for it but hopefully back fit very soon

Im sorry to hear about the injury.
Hopefully you can get yourself back fully fit again in time for the main part of the season.
If you can get some race practice in and work that 400 time down then you are in for a shot at a comm games spot.
I dont know what all the 400m guys are doing. Not many are competing.
Its either they are all waiting for the GP's to start or they are injured.
I hope not.
Australia will have to field the best team possible for comm games to beat teams like England, Bahamas and Jamacia

I wish you the best of luck.

Last week was my first competition run since November 27th. I decided to have a go at a 800m considering 'o9v0e0r0' and 'comments' suggested so. This was my first 800 in over 3 years.

Men 800 Metre Run
================================================================
Name Year Team Finals
================================================================
1 De Castro Cruz, Felipe University of WA 1:57.25
2 Eshete, Darius West Track 1:57.78
3 McEntee, Sam West Track 1:57.93
4 Clayton, Scott University of WA 2:01.20
5 Yates, Hayden Stirling Swa 2:02.09
6 Quaife, Thomas Athletics WA 2:03.70
7 Kozak, Thomas University of WA 2:05.37
8 Salleo, Julian Athletics WA 2:06.04

I had planned to run another 400 on December 18th but I did very little between the 27th and 18th (I was working too much overtime and losing a little motivation training by myself), so I knew I was only going to be disappointed with whatever the time was.

About two weeks ago I met some guys from a squad who train around the corner from where I'm living. The group consist of mainly 400 runners. PB's from 47- 52.
It's been great for me because I have finally stepped up the intensity, looking back I wasn't really pushing out of my comfort zone training by myself..nor was I warming up or cooling down properly.

So there is a 400 on tomorrow and I'm hoping to drop November 27th's time. Fingers crossed.

Matty, well done on a very quick 4 and 2 so far this season and good luck with the strain. Please continue to keep us all posted on your progress throughout the next few months. I look forward to seeing you run here in April,
Scott.

Lookin to get a start at all the grand prix's if i can. would have liked to get a gig at the australia cup but pretty sure i wont be reday for that one. and wold definitly be hard to get picked in front of Milburn.

Just gonna be interesting to see how far these 400s take me. Would like to dip under 21s for the 200 and maybe a 45s for the 400.
