He looked pretty good! I reckon he’s put a little bit of muscle on in the arms, I’m sure he did when he was swimming so much! Think he’s ready to smash out a big 5k now?

From the video it looks like he only does the last 400 in around 60 seconds and only realy got going in the last 600. Was he playing it safe ? or was it all he had ?

looked a pretty controlled effort from buster. I think there is a low 7.40 in him right now I guess the other 8-10 seconds is the bit we are all hoping he can find soon. The post race comments after his 5km in belguim the other day were relating to Continental Cup (previously known as the world cup which Buster is a 2 time winner) he is hoping to put a good 5km time up so he gets selected for that. We will not see Craig Mottram at Comm games he would only run the 5km or maybe the 1500m and both those events are full. Not sure when the Continental cup is but looking fwd to seeing buster mixing it with the best again.

Continental Cup is the new version of the old World Cup:

4 teams:
* Africa
* Americas
* Asia and Oceania
* Europe

Pretty sure it's 2 per country in laned (incl 800m) and field events, 3 in 1500m, 3000m, 5000m and 3000mSC

To be held in Split, Croatia Sept 4-5

It doesnt matter if he wants to or not there are no spots left. Mark my words Craig Mottram will not be running at Comm Games he will hopefully gain selection in the continental cup in september and perfrom well for asia/pacific get a solid winter done and be representing Australia again at the World Champs in 2011.
